Introduction
Investing In Communities® (IIC) believes that social responsibility must be nurtured in the community today and works both online and offline to educate and engage members of the community on the value of nonprofit organizations, community engagement, and strategic philanthropy. Our unique program leverages resources from business partners in the real estate industry to provide funding for nonprofit organizations making a difference in their communities.
IIC’s dynamic social web platform is planned for launch during the 2010-11 school year, enabling thousands of students in the Chicago area and ultimately across the country to learn about the importance of social responsibility and to actively engage with participating nonprofit organizations. In concert with IIC donors, students will vote on where a portion of IIC funds will go. Through IIC, students will gain both the knowledge and the power to bring about positive social change in their communities..

The Student Advisory Council is a unique group of caring, committed, and motivated high school students who will have an opportunity to learn about and play an active role in philanthropic giving. This innovative civic engagement curriculum will give you the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children within your community.
